In accordance with the 1901 Association Act, EUSKAL HERRIKO LABORANTZA GANBARA was founded on January 15, 2005. The Euskal Herriko Laborantza Ganbara (Basque Country Chamber of Agriculture), whose objective is to contribute to the development of sustainable farming and agricultural development, as well as the conservation of rural and country patrimony, or heritage, within the territory of what is known as the Basque Country.
The logo chosen for Euskal Herriko Laborantza Ganbara symbolizes this effort: it is a white flower with six petals, each petal symbolizing a main theme of work that pertains to country farming. It is softly pierced by an arrow as a reminder to vigilant and progressive action which is needed to maintain a sustainable agriculture and its practices.
The six themes of farming are represented as a line along the horizon, a sort of compass. Indicating a plan of action or structure encompassing 4 main projects:
